Hi!
At Kamaji, we believe wellness is about more than maintaining your health, it’s about creating a space where people feel cared for, connected, and inspired to invest in their long-term health.
Inspired by the quiet, behind-the-scenes spirit of healing, Kamaji is a modern wellness space where science, hydration, vitamins, peptides, and longevity come together in an environment designed to help you recharge and feel your best. Surrounded by natural elements, plants, art, and thoughtful design, we created a place that feels welcoming from the moment you walk through the door.
We’re Laura and Suzanne Murata—sisters-in-law, business partners, and lifelong members of the Santa Cruz community.
Laura is a Registered Nurse whose career has always centered on helping people feel healthier and stronger. Before becoming an RN, she worked as a massage therapist and birth doula, experiences that shaped her belief that healing is both a science and an art. Her passion for preventative health became the foundation for Kamaji.
Suzanne brings the heart and creativity behind the experience. As an artist and illustrator, she oversees operations while helping create the warm, inviting atmosphere that makes Kamaji uniquely its own.
Together, we set out to build more than a wellness clinic—we wanted to create a place where people enjoy spending time, feel genuinely welcomed, and leave feeling better than when they arrived. As a locally owned family business, we’re proud to celebrate the creativity and kindness of our community by supporting local artists, makers, and the people who make Santa Cruz such a special place to call home.
Medical care at Kamaji is provided under the clinical oversight of Medical Director Jonathan Hodor, DO, ensuring every treatment is guided by experienced medical expertise and a commitment to patient safety.
Whether you’re visiting for hydration, recovery, performance, or long-term wellness, we’re honored to be part of your journey and look forward to welcoming you to Kamaji.
